Joining us on a food tour while docked in Barcelona’s cruise port? Read the details to make sure you don’t miss the food tour or the boat!

Gracia Neighborhood Food Tour

If you are joining us on our Gracia Neighborhood Food Tour, we recommend two options to arrive at your tour: by public transport (metro), or by taxi.

The Gracia Neighborhood Food Tour meets near the Diagonal metro stop, about a 10 minute trip from the Drassanes metro stop, the nearest to Barcelona’s cruise port. Both metro stops are on the same green line (line 3). That said, depending on where your ship is docked, the Drassanes metro stop can be anywhere from 10 minutes walking to over 20 minutes walking. There is a shuttle, but it only runs about every 20 minutes, so it’s important to also keep that in mind when calculating travel time.

The tour ends near the Fontana metro stop, which is again on the same green metro line, and only about 15 minutes back down to the metro stop near the port. In short, if you take public transport, plan for 25-40 minutes to arrive or depart from your tour. If time is limited, we recommend taking a taxi. Taxis are plentiful and easy to find both at the port and all around the city. With normal traffic conditions, a taxi will take approx. 20 minutes. However, this depends on where your ship is located in the Barcelona cruise port.

Tastes, Tapas & Traditions of Barcelona Food Tour

If you are joining us on our Tastes, Tapas & Traditions of Barcelona Food Tour, we recommend two options to arrive at your food tour: by taxi or on foot.

The Tastes, Tapas & Traditions of Barcelona Food Tour meets in front of the Santa Caterina Market in the Born neighborhood. Because this location is not well-connected by metro from the cruise port, we recommend taking a taxi, which will take 10 to 15 minutes, depending on where your ship is docked.

Alternatively, you can take a leisurely stroll from the cruise port to the start of the tour, bordering the old port and walking up Via Laietana. The walk is beautiful and will take around 30 minutes, using this route. If you choose this option, keep in mind that we will also be walking a bit on the tour!
